Excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff. We’ve gone there from everything to buying chickens to different kinds of fish food for our lake feeder and they’ve been very helpful.

I’ve purchased all of my hens from this location and have always taken excellent care of my birds…they are thriving overall. On 2/4, I purchased three French Black Copper Marans and allowed the employee to select them for me (which, in hindsight, was a mistake). During the hour-long drive home, I noticed one chick was not behaving like the others. Once home, I examined her and discovered webbed toes and mildly splayed legs. She was lethargic, spent most of her time lying on her stomach, and showed little interest in eating or drinking. Sadly, she passed away on 2/5. This is the first chick we have ever lost. RIP Webber😭 I contacted D&L on 2/6 to report the situation and was informed that because the chick had been in my care for a couple of days, there would be no reimbursement. I was sold a sick chick and was told there was nothing that could be done other than purchasing another one. Please thoroughly inspect all chicks before purchasing here—including older birds. Last year, we purchased two Russian Orloffs that were sick at the time of purchase. Fortunately, we quarantined them for two weeks instead of introducing them to our flock immediately, as the employee had suggested.

I’ve been coming to this store for a long time. I’m pretty upset about a feed store giving out plastic glitter filled “reindeer food”. It has a bad impact on the environment, our water supply, and poisons the local wildlife. Shame to both the company and the people that put this out into the world. Merry Christmas ya’ll, keep littering 👎🏻

Great place if you need just about anything for animals, including farm animals l. They have a pet hospital for chickens. If you want to see many live chicken types in one place and read about them. If you need first aid equipment l, this pace has you covered. Don't forget to look upon the office door and see the Declaration of Independence in bac and white l. It was first signed by John Hancock! This pace is a hidden gem😎

Friendly helpful staff! And the seed selection and prices are very impressive. My father found some soil amendments he said he had been looking for, with a huge smile. That alone was worth the trip. And Frizzy Freddy the red Bantam rooster made me wish I had a chicken coop so I could take him home.
